Seoul, Day 1—Palaces and Temples galore!

We’ve been really busy, seeing as much of Seoul as we possibly can. Our days have been super full. We spent Friday visiting Changdeokgung and Gyeongbokgung palace, the National Palace Museum, the Jogyesa Buddhist temple. The palaces were large and open, but they are all painted to look the same and are empty of anything. The tour guide was great, and she almost pronounced everything right, except for Quin. That is how she said Queen.

Lunch at a Korean place next to the first palace. We ordered a bit too much, but it was good. Dinner was at Los Amigos in Itaewon with the crew. Everything seemed about right except for the beans being kidney instead of pinto. And their tequila selection was a little lacking, but nothing worse than a Mexican chain in the US.

You can find all the photos in My Gallery, but here is a sampling.
