The Ranch is Open

Welcome to the CowPuppy Ranch! I’m not really sure what I’m really going to be posting here. Probably just random stuff about my life. I’ll tell you right now that it won’t be all that exciting. Probably about as exciting as the picture of my sleeping puppy. Isn’t she cute? It does disturb me to wake up and find her sleeping like this.

I guess I should explain where the name cowpuppy came from. Well, after 9/11, there was an article in the NYTimes. A woman had gone back from school in NY to her tribe in Africa. She explained to everyone the enormity of what had happened. They were so upset that they decided to donate some sacred cows to New York. The US embassy was trying to decide what to do with them. The reporter interviewed a few New Yorkers as to whether they wanted the cows or if they wanted the embassy to sell the cows and use the money to buy jewelery the tribe makes and then display the jewelery. Well, by now, I was so touched by the story that I was about to cry until I read the part where the New Yorker says that they should take the cows, put a farm where the twin towers are, and send the cow puppies back to Africa.

Cow puppies?

The reporter said it all when he said that this is the reason that New Yorkers shouldn’t have cows.

Cow puppies!

I laughed my ass off. I figured that this must be the result of the DogCow having offspring. Who knew?

That’s my story and I’m stickin’ to it!

I thought Cow Puppies were a nickname for Dalmation pups! Although that might be Skinny Cow Puppies. Now your blog name has two meanings (well 1 1/2) because you have 1/2 a Cow Puppy!
