Amazon wish list

R asked earlier for me to update my Amazon wish list. I haven’t touched it since I started it in 2002. Do you really want to know why? Because this is what it would look like…

Let’s start with today’s wish, thanks to Apple. The new iPhone looks absolutely amazing and I want one. Do I really need to tell you why? It does just about everything! Phone, texting, web, mail, music, video, etc. Look at any news feed and you will know. $599

While at the Apple Store, lets add on the AppleTV. So it isn’t going to replace my Tivo any time, but it still is pretty cool and I want one. It would allow me to stream all of my movies, tv shows, music, and photos to my tv. $299

If I’m going to get AppleTV, then I might as well get a new AirportExtreme that was silently released today. I will want the new 802.11n protocol to stream my videos from my laptop. Supposedly is five times faster than 802.11g. $179

My old TV works great, was free and I love it, but if I have all this other stuff, then I need an upgrade. Perhaps a nice Panasonic 42″ Plasma. I kind of want an LCD so that I can hook my computer up to it, but I actually highly doubt I will want to do that more than I will want to watch tv and videos. $1,999.95

The paprika red 2007 VW Eos 2.0T with the sport package. It is tough to decide whether or not I’d want the sport package or a stick shift. I guess I can’t have both. At this price, I want both! $35,829

I would forego all of it and more in exchange for someone similar to the hot, straight(!), 33-year-old, mechanical engineering graduate named Eric from Quebec, who I met in Prague. Fluent in French and English, a semi-pro hockey player, partner in his own consulting firm specializing in lean manufacturing, and looks like a combination of Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg. A perfect gentleman, and perfectly in love with his long-term girl. I could do without that last part—she is a lucky woman! Priceless

Amazon has the 50″ Panasonic plasma for the same price you’re quoting on the 42″.

    See? Amazon wishlist is good.
