Zen and gone

Today was a day for self-inflicted pain and self-reflection. I walked the dog for two miles, then I hopped on my bike with no idea where I was going. In the end, I spent three hours and put twenty miles on my bike. I obviously wasn’t setting any land speed records, but I wasn’t trying. I stopped a couple times to enjoy the scenery and to just think. I have a terrible habit of letting things eat away at me, ignoring stress, or just laughing it off. Today, I spent some zen time sitting by the bay reflecting on work and life. Both have been a little stressful lately, mostly by my own doing and desire, so it was time to reflect and let go. Of the stress that is. And get back to just enjoying life. I’m there now. It just took a lot of thought and some time alone to get there.

Here are a couple photos I took. Didn’t bring my real camera, just my iPhone, so they aren’t anything spectacular. I even have one of me in my spandex! Now I have to walk the dog for another mile and stretch a bit. This is gonna hurt later.
