Before & After

I had a couple of grapefruits from my weekly fruit & veggie shipment. I didn’t know what to do with them. So last night, when I was making more Strawberry Orange Rhubarb Muffins I decided to juice my grapefruits while juicing the succulent orange. Then I put the grapefruit juice in the fridge for tonight.

Scraping through my closet, I found some vodka and simple syrup. I poured them in with some grapefruit juice over ice and shook. Most amazing grapefruit vodka martini I’ve ever had!

On the way home from work, I stopped off at Trader Joes for a bag of pizza dough, pizza sauce, and shredded mozzarella (I was too lazy to grate my own tonight). I snuck a bunch of basil under the mozzarella so that it wouldn’t dry out too much in the oven, and voilà!

  2. I’m worried that you keep your vodka in a closet. If you start drinking it out of a coffee mug or slipping it directly into a can of Fresca while on your lunch break, alert us. We care.
