Happy Halloween!

I invited a friend over tonight to make dinner. I asked if he was willing to be adventurous. He obliged, and so we attempted two recipes that would use some of the veggies I received in this week’s shipment. Specifically, a head of cauliflower and a one pound pumpkin.

It took a while, but in honor of Halloween, we made Pumpkin Soup with Honey and Cloves and Penne and Cauliflower with Mustard Breadcrumbs. Instead of breadcrumbs, I crushed up the croutons I’d made the other day. In the picture, the breadcrumbs are in a separate bowl.

It was all very monochromatic, but good enough that I will enjoy eating the leftovers.

This guy doesn’t have a blog name?

  2. I can’t remember what his blog name is. That is usually a sign that he needs a new one.
